Just down the popular Meyers Place laneway, Pizza Pizza Pizza has fast become a go-to pit stop for late-night diners seeking New York-style pies and cocktails in the CBD. It’s open until 1am, making this moody, dimly-lit bar a hub for hungry punters spilling out of neighbouring theatres on Friday and Saturday nights.
Order by the slice or by the pie (12 or 18 inches) – maybe it’s a classic pepperoni, or a funghi-heavy ‘Magic Mushroom’ number drizzled in truffle oil. Gluten free bases and vegan cheese are available, too, and you can mix-and-match toppings with half-half pies.
Behind a black curtain at the rear lies a semi-private, sitting-only bar where you can settle in for a negroni night cap.
