NRL trials 2025 LIVE updates: Injury blow for Warriors as Sharks hero Hazelton opens scoring

You won’t see the likes of playmaker Nicho Hynes, skipper Cameron McInnes, or new signing Addin Fonua-Blake on the field tonight, but both the Sharks and the Warriors are fielding some formidable players.
Three-time premiership winning prop James Fisher Harris will step out as a Warrior for the first time tonight, after asking for a release from the Panthers last year to return to New Zealand. It’s unlikely he’ll play big minutes tonight, but it’s a good opportunity to start gelling with the team.

As for Cronulla, keep an eye on Daniel Atkinson. The young playmaker is giving Braydon Trindall a run for his money when it comes to partnering Nicho Hynes in the halves for the season opener, with Trindall still on the mend after major shoulder surgery last October. Atkinson is due to join the Dragons from 2026, but had a seriously impressive 2024 at times in the halves, and other times as a utility.
