Golden rock chips up to 9.9g/t guide Dart discoveries in Queensland

Dart Mining has scored some strong results up to 9.9 grams per tonne (9g/t) gold at its recently acquired Triumph gold project in Queensland, from its latest set of high-grade rock chip results.

The results could light the way to further resources discoveries in its ongoing 7000-metre drilling assault.

Fresh from its first on-ground reconnaissance activities since acquiring the Triumph project last August, Dart has reported standout rock chip assays including grades as high as 9.9g/t gold, 125g/t silver and 1.9 per cent lead.

‘Of interest is the silver and lead associated with the gold and its use as potential pathfinders to add to Dart’s exploration methods.’

The company says its results confirm high-grade historical rock chips in the area, which were uncovered in 2014 by previous owner Metal and ranged as high as an impressive 53.5g/t gold. Dart says the now validated locations emphasise the potential of Triumph’s under-explored Southern Corridor for discoveries and resource expansion.

Dart Mining chairman James Chirnside said: “Dart is very pleased with the rock chips confirming high-grade gold sampling in these undrilled target areas. Of particular interest is the silver and lead associated with the gold and its use as potential pathfinders to add to Dart’s exploration methods.”

The high-grade samples come from undrilled areas of the Southern Corridor at Triumph, which Dart acquired last year for just $2 million – a bargain basement price for a project that already offers a 118,000-ounce resource at 2.03g/t gold.

The newly observed sample zones exhibit fresh sulphide veins interspersed with iron oxide replacement and quartz veining – a geological signature synonymous with the project’s known gold resources.

The gold whiffs and mineralisation indications led Dart to incorporate the latest targets into its ongoing 7000m marathon drilling effort.
